The Lord's Supper reminds all the faithful of the one who won the power of death and opened us the way to eternal life. Jesus says: "Come to me, all you that are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest."(Matthew 11: 28).
If the person is unable to receive the bread and/or wine, he or she is to be blessed anyway. Other Christians who are present may also partake.
