Baptism

In holy baptism our Saviour takes us into his flock and gives us the gift of eternal life. Jesus has promised, "Anyone who comes to me I will never drive away " (John 6: 37).

In the Lutheran church baptisms can be scheduled for persons of any age, from infant to adult. 

Families or individuals applying for baptism must meet the pastor well in advance of the proposed date. The pastor will talk with you about the meaning of baptism and practical arrangements. At least two godparents, or sponsors as they are also called, are required.

The baptism is conducted in the church as a part of a regular communion service.
